Cancellation Policy for Tours and Excursions
In accordance with applicable Portuguese legislation for travel and tourism agencies, we detail our cancellation policy below:
-
Cancellation by the Customer:
- The customer may cancel their participation in organized tours and excursions at any time before the scheduled start date of the trip. However, as provided by law, an appropriate and justified cancellation fee may be applied, as specified in the travel contract. This fee will be calculated based on the advance notice of cancellation and any expenses that may have been incurred by the agency.
-
Cancellation due to “No-Show”:
- In the event of a “no-show” on the day of the tour or excursion, there will be no right to a refund. The amount paid will be fully retained by the agency, in accordance with the contractual conditions previously established and communicated to the customer.
-
Cancellation by the Agency:
- The agency reserves the right to cancel the trip if the minimum number of participants is not reached or due to force majeure reasons, such as natural disasters or other unavoidable and exceptional circumstances. In such cases, the customer will be fully refunded within a maximum period of 14 days, with no right to additional compensation.
- The agency will communicate the cancellation as follows:
- 20 days before the scheduled start date of the trip, if the duration is more than 6 days.
- 7 days before the scheduled start date of the trip, if the duration is between 2 and 6 days.
- 48 hours before the scheduled start date of the trip, if the duration is less than 2 days.
-
Changes and Exceptional Circumstances:
- If there are significant changes to the main characteristics of the contracted services, the customer may choose to terminate the contract without penalty and will be refunded within a maximum period of 14 days. Alternatively, the customer may opt for a substitute trip when available.
This policy complies with Portuguese legislation and aims to ensure transparency and the protection of the rights of both parties involved. If you have any questions or concerns, we are available to provide further clarification.
